School resources inspired by TURNING POINT, coming soon…

03.09.2024

This is an early bird call to teaching and learning in schools, outside the classroom, and teacher development networks…

The History teachers of Sweet Patootee Arts’ Schools Working Group, are now ready to roll out their new original enquiries for the UK History curriculum. inspired by TURNING POINT’s Black heritage storytelling (set in 1920s Barbados and Jamaica).

The resources are free, and will be available to download from early September – please watch this space and our social media for the launch announcement.

This fantastic news was confirmed in a milestone meeting with leader of our Schools Working Group Pam Canning (Head of History, Little Heath School, Berkshire).

Huge thanks to our UK and international friends and consultants. Praises to the students who’ve taken part in R&D. Love and respect to TURNING POINT’s cast for giving us such inspiring storytelling. And a special big up to Matt and Schools History Project for the support that launched this work 3 years ago.

it’s important to get these first resources launched, known about, and stimulating feedback through ever-widening use UK-wide and internationally. But we also want them to be a foundation for future resources…

First things first though. The noise of our partying will be loud when our initial resources go live. You have been warned.
